Autohaus One was established in 1964 with the intent of creating a business set on a foundation of quality workmanship and ethics. Over many years, Autohaus One achieved that goal and has since become Sydney’s preferred prestige European vehicle service specialist. Our European Vehicle auto technicians will provide you with the most reliable auto repair service for all prestige European automobiles. We use predominantly original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts and are an authorised ATE Brake Centre.
We are exceptionally proud of the long term relationships we have established with our many customers. We have built a solid reputation for providing our customers a trustworthy and reliable place to go for European auto service needs in Sydney.

OUR HISTORY
AUTOHAUS ONE
Autohaus One started life in 1964 as Swatosch Autohaus, with Bill Swatosch renting a service bay in Service City on Botany Road in Alexandria to specialise in Mercedes-Benz maintenance and repairs. He quickly grew to three staff and seven bays, but his popularity soon outgrew the space.
In 1973, Bill moved Swatosch Autohaus to the corner of O’Dea Ave and South Dowling St, one of Sydney’s busiest streets. Business boomed for many years in the Waterloo location. In 1986, Bill moved the business back to Alexandria to the fully covered site at 18 O’Riordan Street. When he retired, in 1990, Bill handed the reigns to his son, Peter (AKA P1), who grew up with the business, spending his holidays and weekends at Swatosch Autohaus before starting his mechanical apprenticeship in 1980.
After many successful years Peter Swatosch (AKA P1) moved Autohaus One to the Sutherland Shire. Specialising in Volkswagen, Audi, BMW as well as Mercedes-Benz. Peter’s long term mechanic, Peter Malkiewicz (AKA P2), helped run the business whilst he dabbled in business coaching. In late 2019 P1 decided to move on from Autohaus One to become a fulltime business coach. He can now be found amongst his newly established business, FocalPoint Coaching & Training Excellence located in the Sutherland Shire.
In late 2019 Autohaus One was sold to now owners, Steve & Emilie Melton, due to their similar ideologies of that of the Swatosch family. Steve is a very well respected and industry known European mechanic, in his own right, running another very successful workshop in the Sutherland Shire. All employees of Autohaus One remain employed by the new owners and Steve continues to operate a very successful independent workshop, with the help of long term employee P2. The same friendly, knowledgeable service customers have come to expect will be sure to continue.
For decades Autohaus One has been giving their customers and their prestige vehicles the extra special attention that has earned them a highly valued reputation and loyal clientele. This is the one thing that will never change.
